I mean, it’s even better in Stardew Valley since you can experience more than just idle farming. The game might be tedious and slow burn at first, but that’s basically what it’s like to farm. The amount of work you’ll have to do in Stardew Valley is like comparing an ant to a human. It’s filled with a lot of activities that’ll keep you hooked, especially if you like these types of games. I mean, at first, it kinda sound and plays very boring. You might see in some forums like Reddit or Steam Community that some people share the sentiments of the game being boring. More than that is just exploring new ways to play the game. At least around 150 hours is enough for you to actually explore the entirety of the game. If you’re thinking long term, Stardew Valley barely feels like a long-term investment. But you’ll have to actually like the gameplay itself for you to get into the game. It’s a farming simulator, for Pete’s sake. For games like EVE Online, even years isn’t enough.īut for a game like Stardew Valley, you don’t really have to invest your everything to enjoy the game. These are the types of games you’ll typically play for months. For example, there are games like Monster Hunter games, Black Desert Online, WoW, and many others are just some kind of games you’ll have to play repeatedly. This is typically any kind of grinding game. At first, you’re gonna be grinding tons of materials and crops, items, and build your dream farming empire. There are tons of quests, a lot of things to do. When you first started the game, I’m pretty sure you’ve got a lot going in for you.
Fighting the “Boring” Gameplay of Stardew Valley I don’t have to grind and I can always get back to any of the two whenever I want.īut for a game like Stardew Valley, there are so many things you can do and there’s quite a lot that you might miss out if you stop playing now, even as a single-player game. In my case, it’s probably Left 4 Dead 2 or something like Genshin Impact. We all have those types of games that we’re just playing mindlessly and on autopilot. If you treat Stardew Valley as something you should be competing up against, then it’s safe to say that this isn’t the game for you. Gaming shouldn’t be one of the things that brings us stress, but joy and should be what’s called an escape. Now I know it gets easier for each time you’re progressing, but it’s a slow burn and a pretty tedious game. Of course, when it comes to games like this one, you’re always up to grind and grind, no matter what. Stardew Valley can be very boring and repetitive if you keep doing the same thing over and over again.
